Race car suspension & braking systems

SGR Engineering carry out a full race car suspension setup service. Suspension is perhaps more important than power, because if you lose speed through the corner, you have to waste engine power getting that speed back again. Every joint, spring and bush must be inspected and replaced as necessary to ensure the perfect handling package.

Braking systems are also vital. The brakes must be capable of dissipating the increased energy that a race car develops, without crumbling under the load. Weight differences may also require brake balance to be altered to match.

Steering accuracy not only aids car drivability, but also performance. Steering is affected by ride height changes, both static and dynamic, so every aspect needs to be considered in order to get the best possible balance.
